JBrab is a versatile DJ, platinum producer, and independent artist whose musical journey has been shaped by his small- town roots in Varnville, South Carolina, and his passion for creating beats. Growing up surrounded by music—his father built a recording studio in their backyard—James was introduced to music production at a young age, initially learning drums, saxophone, and keyboard. Inspired by iconic producers like Timbaland and Swizz Beatz.

In 2004, JBrab moved to Atlanta to attend American Intercontinental University, where he met country artist Blanco Brown, creator of “Trailer Trap” and the hit

song “The Git Up,” which helped open
doors to collaborate with top producers, which landed him his first placements with artists like Lloyd & Mario.

James’ talents are as diverse as his production style, which spans genres from EDM and country to gospel, R&B, and pop. He’s produced tracks for Blanco Brown, including the single “I Need Love,” and toured internationally as his DJ. During his touring journey, JBrab became the first Black DJ to DJ at the Grand Ole Opry withBlanco Brown, which became an article in People’s Magazine.

Despite facing early setbacks, his resilience and determination have defined his journey in the music industry, where success, for him, is not just about financial

independence, but the freedom to create, give, and live without fear of tomorrow.

 

He continues his mission in music through his unique approach to DJing at various venues and events across the Atlanta area and beyond and producing for independent and established artists like Big KRIT, Pleasure P, Jacob Latimore, Davionne, Woody McClain, and more and has supported numerous artists on stage. J Brab is destined to make a lasting impact on every life his music impacts.
